Unfortunately, we had last-minute commitments, so we were unable to make the forum meeting on Saturday…

However… just like the last time you opened the doors to so many victims, there was a hot time in the old town tonight!

New Yorkers and New Jersey folks who were screwed by predatory lending in the Poconos may want to get their butts back up here tomorrow.

Yes, Child Abductive Services are at it again.
How many more times are you going to have to see the same story, played over, and over, and over, and over… with different families in the starring role until you open your eyes and see this is VERY REAL and happening every day?

Ok… EXPLAIN this to me like I’m a six year old.
Boycott-Hollywood – A site that has been set up *specifically* to target and punish celebrities for their “anti-war” statements, has been dealt a death blow by the William Morris Agency. The site is being closed down by dotster sometime within the next few days.
Get this… Boycott-Hollywood complaining that their “freedom of speech is being infringed on”, and this is unfair.
You really have to laugh at the irony of it all.

Or is there more to this story than the public knows?
I consider this good news.
While I’m not ready (or safe) to talk about it.
The wheels of justice does work eventually, don’t it, Cheslock?

Oh yeahhhhh BAY-BEEE!!!!
This week’s brawl is just simply SHAG-A-LICIOUS! You know like all of the good ones… they fester and boil off in a private corner, and finally a catalyst makes it explode in a free for all, and we’re afraid to get our popcorn out of the microwave because God forbid we miss any fun!!!!
For those of you that feel some altercations should “stay private”. Not in the case of a continuing pattern of a predator. Not when a kid is involved. In other words: “Fuck dat noize!!!”. I’m trying to do my job here. Do you mind?
Chris Powers -vs- (well, too many people to name)
So you all scorned Sara when she kicked Chris off her servers, you just wafted past Robyn’s story in May, and thought Hormonal Bitch was just the coolest site ever, and never asked yourselves “Why was it created?”.
I know all… I see all… I am privy to more information than some of you people deserve! I’m a WebGod, remember?
Rather than (yet another) Chris Powers bashfest, and discuss his gift of making women feel uncomfortable and creeped out, and his uh, attention toward underage girls… I also feel in my Digitally Divine⢠being that there is a higher lesson to be learned, so here is the story, and judge for yourselves:

We were all watching the local news out here Friday, when we stumbled onto the image of a man sentenced to life for murder on the screen.
Melissa is about 98% sure he was one of the clowns that robbed her last summer.
On the plus side, justice is served as this guy will never see the light of day, and there’s no need for her, another friend working there, and two teenage kids needing to testify about the harrowing night they were forced on the floor at gunpoint and robbed…
On the down side, they know now that one of those men were *already* wanted for murder, and would have killed them without hesitating.
Aaah… never a dull moment in my world.

Looking for some riveting reading this weekend? Check out The Legacy of Tocks Island Dam. This story has it all: Natural disasters, death & destruction, our Government going to extremes: taking homes and land by any means necessary, land owners committing suicide as their land is taken away, hippie protests, and the origin of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
It also features photos that never made it to print, courtesy of The Monroe County Historical Society and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
It was a three day series, that ran in the Pocono Record last week, and now it’s online. I’ve gotta admit that I really didn’t get a chance to read this until I put it together online this weekend… and it is MIND-BLOWING! Full of history that us New Yorkers moving in never knew. Go check it out, I’ll wait.

Well, whaddya know….
A couple of CyberPals in New York City let me know that ABC’s Eyewitness News: 7 on your side, ran a story last night about the Poconos and the predatory lending practices going on, and driving people to foreclosure and bankruptcy.
And they even link to Matt Birkbeck’s series on their site.
For those not following the story…. it’s in the hands of the Feds now.
SCARED??? You should be. :0)

Here are a list of other great blogs and journals for you to check out. Due to Technorati's way of ranking sites, and I don't have a blogroll, I've pulled these right out of my Links Page.
