Dewey beats Marlins in the World Series!!!

World Series 100th Anniversary Damn.

Was my prediction off (just a little), or what?

Of course I’ve been hearing rumours all week that the series was fixed, the Marlins would take it, and now they can go to the city of Miami and get their own stadium.

Nah.

I choose to believe that the Marlins were hungry. They’re a superior team that was seriously underestimated FROM the word “go”. And they deserved this.

Congratulations Marlins & Marlins fans!

How YOU doin’?

World Series 100th AnniversaryGoodbye to the Rocket
Man, this is definitely the MOST INTENSE World Series I’ve ever seen. It was cool to see Roger Clemens end his last pitch with a strikeout (woulda been nicer if the Yankees had won, buuut…).

I can’t say anything bad about the Marlins. They are one truly ass-kicking team this year. But I can question what’s up with the umpires over there? They called a Marlin “out” yesterday, when he was clearly safe at first… then vice versa for the Yankees (*genuflects*)…

Pocono Web Designers

Hmmm… I just did a search on “Pocono Web Designers” and found I’m only ranking #4 on MSN Search, and #22 on Google (well, I SHOW up a little earlier on the list, but it’s work-related.)

This disturbs me, as once upon a time I was king of all I surveyed.

Three years ago, three sites I made were the #1, 2, & 3 search results for “Homes in the Poconos” (Which of course drew a lot of traffic and leads FROM New York City)… now I see only one is hanging in at #8. (and that site is long gone.).

See, I know all the tricks, and the places to go for search engine placement and submission. I’ll be more that happy to share some of my secrets. Privately. Nothing I would publish publicly, or all of the other pocono web designers will do it.

The one trick I can share is using the words you want to be found for (Like “Pocono Web Designers”, for example)… on a page that is constantly updated and kept fresh will definitely advance your placement.

I certainly hope you folks don’t think that’s what I’m up to here, with my constant reference to Pocono Web Designers over and over in this post.

I’m not saying that I’m not.

I just don’t want you to think it, that’s all. :0)

Merry Christmas!

Yeah, yeah… I know I’m a little behind the times.

(Well, at least in the advertising world, I am. Usually, they have all of their Holiday ads and promotions done by mid-July.)

The Reasons for Christmas Project – Still a work in progress. There’s going to be a major media blitz FROM State Rep. Kelly Lewis’ office any day now, so I’m working day and night to get this sucker out the door with the help of his aide Jon Jorgenson (who’s one cool mofo, I gotta tell you…. and I’m not just saying that because he visits my site, and is most likely reading this.) :0)

Of course the main objective of the site is to raise funds and awareness of PATH (Pocono Area Transitional Housing).

An all-star lineup of world-class musicians FROM the Poconos recorded the CD (We already covered Bob Dorough here. Did you know Phil Woods was the saxophone player on Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”? And he’s won several grammys for his jazz recordings? Neither did I. Well, I’m an moron… what’s YOUR excuse?)
